Unidos Samba Band

Welcome Unidos Samba band (pronounced Ooneeduse) on the Isle of Wight. We are a group of musicians with a keen interest in Brazilian Samba music, who decided to set up Unidos to bring the sounds of Samba to the community.

We have a large varied repetoire, the majority being written by members, influenced by the strong Brazilian rhythms present in all Samba music. We all enjoy performing, and are available to book.

We provide music for all occasions, external or internal sets, static or processional gigs. We are available to book in and around the Isle of Wight and on the mainland. Please contact our Secretary for more detailed booking information.

• Practice Time: Thursdays, 19:30 - 21:30
• Practice Cost: Adults: £2, Children: £1 (to cover hall rental and expenses)
• Requirements: A good sense of rhythm and a willingness to learn!
• Wanted: Keen percussionists or existing Samba players, particularly Timba, Tambourim and Shakers.
• Additional Info: First three practices are free to attend, just turn up and see if you like it.
