Co-founded by Emma Skilton (Artistic Director) and Sean Hooper (Musical Director) Truro School of Samba formed in 2005 with the aim to promote, support and develop percussion-based music, dance and related carnival arts in the community. Inspired by Rio's magnificent carnival and the rhythms of Brazil the spectacular dancers are accompanied by the infectious rhythms of the band. We perform at Carnivals and Festivals throughout the year as well as providing percussion and dance workshops to children and adults. New members are always welcome to join the samba school: both drummers and dancers at all levels. |
