Stroud School of Samba

We have been going since late 1994, playing a range of Brazilian styles of percussion along with a few of own. Basically a bateria, we have have started adding some brass arrangements to our repertoire. We number up to around 25 performers at some of the bigger gigs, and have played at everything from local fetes to The South Bank to Sidmouth International Folk Festival.

We have two practise nights a week, with one on a wednesday specifically aimed at those new to samba percussion - anyone is welcome to come along to that and join in. We have a developing brass ensemble and also some people who dance with us on occaison. If you are interested in trying any of these samba activities out then get in touch with us.
