Sambando brings the sizzling sounds of Brazilian drumming to the streets of Leicester and Leicestershire.

Band rehearsals are held most Sundays at 5pm (winter) and 5:30pm (summer) on the 10th floor of the Charles Wilson Building at Leicester University.
Try to play! - Taster Session 23 October 2011 and Three Sundays Course 30 October to 13 November
This is once-a-year chance to get line up with the drum players of Sambando Leicestershire to learn the basics of how to play the street drums from Brazil.
Try your hand at anything from Agogos (Bells) through Caixas (Snares) to Surdos (Large Drums)
The Taster Session is free and with no commitment to join or continue further.

If you do enjoy it we have a three week follow on course to tutor you on a single drum piece which culminates on Sunday November 13 - when you can invite your family and friends to to hear you play along with us. There is a cost of £9 for this course
