Robinswood Samba Band

The 20 members are all pupils at Robinswood Primary School aged 9-11. We play samba reggae, batucada and candombe, sometimes using junk instead of instruments. We perform regularly at the Gloucestershire Primary Proms and at Music for Youth regional festivals. In 2004 we played at the MfY national festival at the Royal Festival Hall. We also perform at various local events. We sometimes perform with Diablos de Samba, and several ex-members have joined Diablos.
