Oxiris

''Oxiris'' are a small (by comparison with other samba bands) band of around ten people playing percussive arrangements based on traditional samba.

The band occasionally augment and include a bass player, guitar player, and sax player to provide Brazilian music as well as original tunes with a latin flavour.

''Oxiris'' started rehearsing in May 2002 and played their first gig in October 2002.
