HPS are almost exclusively Gope - the band owns most of the drums, but I own my own Caixa which is also Gope. I also own a RMV Repinique which i've not yet used.

All of our drums are constructed at The Oya Institute, home of Cortejo Afro, in Piraja on the outskirts of Salvador, then sent round the Atlantic to all the various Batalas, cutting out the middleman means that you can directly inject money into the local community.
mostly Gope, but we also have Artcelsior, RMV Contemporanea and Izzo. This is spread over 15 school ensembles, totalling about 500 instruments, ordered at different times.
All orders through our County Council are tendered so price is the delimiting factor, rather than quality or make :(
Hope this helps!
