Dursley Samba Band

Dursley Samba Band is part of the Cam & Dursley world jungle organisation. Promoting Samba around Gloucestershire, established in october 2008 we are one of the newest samba Band/Bloco in the south west region. We are not a technical samba Band as we do not situate to just one style. We try to incorporate different rythems such as Samba Regggae''s and Batucada''s (Rio and Sao Paulo Samba) and will later try Afroxe, Mozamibque and Funk.

We sometimes master workshops with John a famous sambista who has many years of experience in Samba. We pratice every monday from 7 to 8:45, £4 a session £2 if under 17. Were not far from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud or Bristol so if your interested in the this new band/bloco then come along and learn Samba. We also accept experienced samba players.
