Commotion

We are a women''s community drumming band formed in January 1996. We perform at various festivals and gigs throughout the year. We''ve played in the International Women''s Day march in Edinburgh, the famous Edinburgh Torchlight Procession, Manchester MardiGras, Murrayfield Rugby Stadium for international matches and we''ve led the Pride Scotland march. We also play smaller community events.

Can I join? As a community band we are open to women of any drumming ability. However, to keep band numbers stable spaces are limited. New members are admitted through a waiting list system, in new member intake groups - so you won''t be the only one just starting.
