Samba Bandits

Samba Bandits was formed in the 1990's by women with a fascination for the rhythms of Brasil. Today we have full range of authentic samba instruments and meet regularly on Thursday evenings to practice.
Samba Bandits is a friendly, community based band, and we welcome anybody who wants to join us - men or women! New members don't need any previous musical knowledge at all, samba is easy to learn and really great fun to play.
We parade in local carnivals - Northampton; Luton; Wellingborough; Wolverton Lantern parade;
We support local community & charity events - highlights are the International Conker Championships; Motor Neurone Disease Fire Walking evening;
We play at various fund raising events for local organisations, weddings & street parties and, from time to time, join with samba bands from around the East Midlands to play at Bedford River festival; Cambridge Strawberry fair; Cancer Research 'Run for Life' @ Althorp.
